I have another question. I know my ABS control module is out. Is this something I can do myself or a mechanic has to do. I know they have to reset the computer, I think. I don't want to pay $900.00, if this is a simple part to put in. I can get the part at cost for $300.00 thru a friend at Ford. See what I mean. Cheaper if I can do it myself.

you can do it yourself, but you have to use a scan tool to bleed the ABS system.

thanks. you can get around not having a scan tool, to bleed the abs system. it just more tedious and takes to 3 people to do it.

If it is the ABS computer and not the ABS hydraulic unit, you can replace the computer portion only and not worry about bleeding anything. I did this on my 00GT. Got the ABS unit (used) for $100 + shipping. Been on for 5 months or more with no issues.
