Add Chrome ???

    Hello,newbie here with a few questions,i have a 88 Stang body changed to GT look it's got the 2.3 efi motor im wanting to add chrome to it,will the 5.0 oil pan and tranny pan fit on it??? and the rear diffrential cover,what gears do i have on the back???

    as far as the oil pan goes....thats a no. and for the tranny oil pan. i'm not sure at all.the rear diff. cover won't fit either....you have a 7.5" rear and the gt's have a 8.8" rear. and if i'm not mistaken...i think your gearing is 3.27. thats what i have and mines an 87

    Depending on your transmission, you probably have 3.45 gears if it's a 5 speed or 3.73's if it's an auto.

    thanks for the info....sux though they need to make chrome kit's for us with 2.3L :( ...im looking into getting some stuff powdercoated to almost the look of chrome maybe ill just do that.....

    I have an aluminum valve cover (from an 87 Tbird I got off ebay) that I'm in the process of polishing. Also got a manifold upper and t.b.(ebay)and lower(boneyard) that I am going to polish out. Check out www.50resto.com for chrome stuff for the engine compartment, that is generic for 2.3 and 5.0.

    So I guess you live by the old adage "If it don't go, chrome it"
