I have a 92 coupe with the 4 cyl engine in it. I was woundering whats the best power upgrade to do to these? I'm trying to deside if i wanna throw the grand at it or my 408 build for my 93 v-8 coupe? If so what would you do to a bone stock 4 cyl? Also anyone have any ideas on were i can get some lowering springs for this at? All i can find are the springs for the v-8 cars? I just want to get that hidous gap out of the wheels well, kinda like my 93 i have pictured (the white one). peace john
I looked at your sig, and actually, your '92 is putting out closer to 100some hp. So there's a 20hp gain right there Seriously though, there ain't much you can do that will give you the impression that you've done something. When I went through mine, I cleaned up the head quite a bit and added a Ranger tubular exhaust header. I didn't notice much difference between that and stock. Certainly not enough to warrant the time and money spent. Now if you're wanting to throw a grand at it, you could do the famous turbo swap and nearly double your hp. What are your plans for the car? Is it your daily driver, gas mileage car, weekday beater? If its just something you drive to get back and forth to work, I'd leave it alone and enjoy the gas mileage and throw the money at a toy. I learned a long time ago that you never make a toy out of your daily driver and never make a daily driver out of your toy. Bottom line, if you're not interested in the turbo 2.3 craze, then throw the cash at the 408 build. If that doesn't suit you, I'll PM you my address and you can just drop a check in the mail
yeah i was thinking the same just go at the 408! I really want some lowering springs for it tho. peace john
FRPP sells C-springs for around $150 that some people run. Also Eibach sells a Pro-Kit that works for the V6/2.3L for around $240. Your 2.3 looks real nice, I like the wheels. You running some kind of exhaust?
