so i had to pull my dash out on my 97 gt to fix some burnt up wires for my brake light switch and saw a whole mess of air bag stuff,so basicly im scared of air bags and was wondering is there any precautions to take when i hook all the stuff up and reconnect my battery?and also does any one know if they are 1st gen in 97 or are they considered 2nd gen?
i have not had an issue with air bags. i replaced the steering wheel in my 94 v6 with an fr500 and when i got rid of the car i took it out and out it into my 04 never once did i have an issue with unplugging and plugging in my air bag. 97 i believe was still 1st gen ****i think**** 98 was 2nd gen for sure. if i am wrong im sure someone will chime in.
