re-built a ranger motor last weekend and dropped it in friday and finished yesterday. everything hooked up by using color codes on wires, started on third attempt and is very responsive. am finishing up the heater core and speedo cable today. my question is, my fan comes on when i turn the key like its straight wired to the accy.switch. what could be the cause of this? will probably be beneficial for the summer,i just dont want to burn anything up. anyone have any ideas? thanks

the fan temp sensor wire is probably grounding out, make sure the fan temp switch is installed and working. all the switch does is create a ground when the coolant gets to a certain temp, if its bad it could be grounding all the time.
