Glad to hear this. I am putting my Alpine 7894 in tonight with the same harness.

Just curious what did you use for crossover settings on the Alpine Deck?

Is the metra harness 70-5510 the one that Mustangs with the MACH 460 system should use in general or does it require an Alpine HU? I want to put an aftermarket HU in to replace my cassette deck, but I see so many options on harnesses that I want to make sure I get the right one.

Contact Metra directly to make sure you get the right one. They respond to email usually the same day.

From the research I have done the 70-5510 is for the 2000 Mustang. They also do not list it on the Metra website but I did find it at another online retailer. The 2001 Mustangs and up use a different harness.

I emailed Metra and they actually responded in less than half an hour.
