Here's my issue. The previous owner of my car had the alternator replaced, but when they replaced it they didn't put the Saleen pulley on the new one. Now the pulley is larger, which not only steals a little power but means I can't run the standard Saleen belt.

Does anyone know if I can just buy the alternator pulley somewhere and not have to buy a whole set?

    Thanks!

It is my understanding that all the supercharged cars use stock sized pulleys as opposed to underdrive pulleys.

:damnit: I was afraid that might be the case. I'm kind of grabbing at straws really as to why the standard belt from Saleen is too small for my car. That's the only piece I know has been replaced so I though that might be it. But then maybe the Saleen parts guy was wrong in thinking my car takes the same belt as the SC.

Actually I take that last statement back, it is the right belt, it matches the part number listed on the sticker under the hood, its just too damn small and I don't know why.

Because of your smaller blower pulley, perhaps? I know, installing a 66mm pulley on a Series I or II requires a smaller belt.

No, I think the belt would be too big then. I need to find someone else with an "e" and see if they (or I) can measure their pulleys and see which one is off. Oh, well, belt is good right now.

You are the only E owner I know on this site. Have you looked on the Corral web board? There is also Rocky Squirrel on Saleen Chat, though I don’t think he posts very often.
