This is an option for the 2008 Mustang GT for $295.
    What is it?

I was wondering the same thing. Is it worth the $295?Every car that I have looked at seems to come with that option.Looks like it is hard to find one without it.

    Thanks stanmckinney.
This would be great for a convertible.

Take a look at ANY 05-07 Mustang, and there are only two lights (map lights) in the interior. Try finding anything at night with those POS lights. The lighting package, I think, would be WELL worth it. That's why all the dealers are ordering theirs with the option.

Only time I ever use mine is to either show people I have it or if there is a lady friend in the car that wants it on b/c it's "pretty".

Looks kind of like neon lights ricers use... don't think I would pay the $295 for that. And, I have to disagree with POOP, I don't think the package is going to help you read some directions or whatever, more of a gimicky kind of option.

i didnt get it on mine - one of two options my car didn't have. i've heard the ambient light is annoying since the cup holders light up and its always there to distract you in the corner of your eye.
