    Hello,
I want to swap to a 5 speed from a toploader in my 69. I was considering going to a 6 speed, but after reading the many other posts decided the 5 speed was a better choice for what I need.

I am putting it behind a modified 351C--probably 350-375 horsepower. I intend on building a stoker motor 427W in a few years and would like a transmission capable of handling both motors and the power produced. So, the question is, what 5 speed would you recommend for the 427W?

    Thanks!

tremec would be the only way to go behind a 427w. you might get a g-force t5 to hold up but the tremec would be a better choice.
