    Alright here's what's going on.
I'm currently in college, so my 2001 constantly sits outside in the Florida sun. Consequently the headlight lenses are turning white on the outside.
I was just wondering if anyone here knew of a good way to cure this problem. I have to take the car to a show in a month, and this is the one thing(besides the rims) that makes the car look unpresentable for a show(I would take the '66, but it's currently engineless). My little sister also has a 2001 Mustang, but hers gets to sit next to my '66 in the garage. If you were to compare her headlights to mine, you'd think her car was brand new and mine was 10-years old. :nonono:
I attacked my roommates '97 Escort's headlights with plexiglass cleaner and a buffer and it worked pretty good, but it took a good chunk of my day. So I was just wondering if there was a better way to do this.

(If you're going to suggest swapping headlights with my sister's car, I already thought about it...She WOULD NOT be happy LOL) :D

no way to do it fast. sorry dude. one of my neighbors is a huge car guy and he has wet sanded them and it makes em look like new i guess. He did it to this Trans Am he just bought, its a 94 and the headlights look new. or you can jsut do what you did before, it would probably take less time if you did with the the plexiglass cleaner.

you can do it, just do it fast (swap out the headlights, that is :p ) I have a 2002 sitting outside of my apt up here in Pensacola, and I haven't had any problems with it. You could also check this website for ideas

    check it out :p

are you still under warranty? if you are, then the dealer should replace them for you. otherwise, i'd say just use the plexi cleaner...

Being serious now, I was in a smart butt mood last night.

Go to google and search for professional detailing websites, you can get some good advice from those guys. Dont mean to just pawn you off on other people, but they can really help you more than we can here. I did that when I was trying to clean my vert top and they gave me some good suggestions.

    Hope it helps

I saw something today at the FORD dealer here in town that is supposed to clean or do something to the lenses. I did not look at it very close but it was North Point Ford in Alpharetta, Georgia is you want to call the parts counter.

Use some light compond and buff them clean. If you use your hands it will takes some work. I would pop them out and use a buffer just be a little careful.
