I thought I would share my geek with all ! LOL! Thats World Of Warcraft on 3 screens ! ..yeh Im a big nerd... cars and computers ! What can I say ! Not the most focused of pics but you get the idea ...COD4 and Halo2 are AMAZING with three screens !
Nice! I'm not into computer gaming, but am a computer geek. I started ordering things for my studio computer last week. Going with a 2.66ghz quad core with DDR3 1600mhz ram and 1gb vid card. Should be nice. I'll be hooking up 2 Samsung 22" widescreens, and probably a 32" LCD for displaying proofs to customers.
Dark thats a nice setup ..almost what I have ... 2.6 Quad core, 16gigs DDR3 mem., 2 terabyte drive, 2 9600gt NVIDA in SLI mode.... I love it !
Wow = fail. Play GT-R or R-Factor instead and put those screens to good use Wish I had that to go with my Logitech G25 Steering wheel
lol nice. I'll be getting a couple of 9600 GT's. I'm starting with 4 gigs of ram. DDR3 is not cheap right now. I'll be upgrading later. I'm just psyched that my mobo has built in wireless. I'll be using an Asus P5Q3 Deluxe. I'd like to go with 24" screens, but the price difference for a really good screen is huge when you're comparing 22" and 24". My 24" Westinghouse is great for web browsing and such, but it doesn't have the definition or color calibration settings needed for print work. Have you overclocked the Quad Core? I've seen people overclock the 2.66 over 3. I won't do it right away, but I may try it later if it starts feeling "slow" after a year or so. This will be my studio computer, so I'll want it to be as stable as possible.
I want to but my cooling isnt the best right now so im not even going to try it yet ! WIth what im running right now the damn thing can take any and everything I throw it .. to include movie and music editing !
Better you're not a total loss after all... All you're missing is a Track-IR system and you'd be set. Now why the hell are you driving the Chevy Lacetti?!? The BMW is way better!
Nope, I'm not a computer geek 1 - Linksys BEFSR-41 Router 1 - Cisco Catalyst 2900XL switch 1 - Compaq DL320 Server (running PC Linux) 3 - Compaq DL360 Servers (1 web server, 2 test servers for work) 1 - HP Pavilion tower running Windows Server 2003 (using as a file server) 1 - Generic PC running PolyFORTH for work software testing 1 - A-Neutronics 17 outlet power stip with volt/watt/ammeter 1 - APC SmartUPS 1500 Thats just the servers. I also have 5 desktop workstations and 3 laptops. My main workstation had dual 22" flatscreens
Wow... Nice setup's guys. I r teh computer nerd..... My main setup: Antec 1200 Case Antec 1000watt PSU Asus Crossfire II M/B AMD Phenom 9950 Black Edition 8Gig OCZ 1066 RAM 1tb Samsung 7200 HDD EVGA Nvidia GTX280 1gig Videocard Samsung Blue Ray Burner optical drive. 24" 2ms 120hz Spectre Monitor I ran the Crysis benchmark and averaged 44 FPS with all settings on Very High w/ vertical sync on and 4x anti-aliasing. Nothing is overclocked and I run about 31*C when at load and about 24*C at idle. My Windows Vista "Score" is 5.9 across the board. Currently I don't have my file server up and running as I am trying to find a new apt./house closer to work. I usually have my Laptop, Desktop and 2 servers running.
