Anyone ever remove the rear speakers/amp box???

I'm wondering if its possible to put just the speaker back in...or is the black box thingy required to hold them...I'm hoping they just mount like traditional speakers...I want to lose the weight of the box and the 2 amps bolted under the speakers but maintain some sterio capability...I rarely us it.

The black box thingy is an amp rack and sealed speaker enclosure. The speakers are mounted INSIDE the black box thingy. If you take it out, you'll lose your speakers (and your amps).
