I was thinking about an easy way to make a cool looking custom trunk.. Would this work? anyone got this setup? I'm visualizing a 99+, because I know what their trunks loook like. Takeout the spare tire/jack, and put a sub or amps in the area the spare and jack normally go in. Now, take out the carpet that normally just lays on top of the spare tire compartment and replace it with a piece of clear plastic cut to fit that area. Now it looks like a custom trunk setup you can show off, and its EASY. Plus, you don't lose ANY trunk room, the carpet is just replaced with plastic. Anyone done this, got pics?
I've seen a couple mustangs with that setup. One was the sub in the spare tire well, and the other had a couple of amps. I'll try to get pics if I can. Bill
