My car starts perfect every morning and when it's been sitting for a while (several hours or more).

However, if I have been driving it, shut it off, run in the store or house and run back out, it will turn over several times and sometime won't start at all unless I tap the gas (which obviously shouldn't be necessary because of the injectors).

    I have an 02 S/C with 7k miles.

I don't know if it's a heat sensor, fuel pump what....

Anyone know what's goin on?

    Thanks for the help.

We have the same thing with all of our ford vehicles. I don't think it is anything to worry about. I've heard that it is pretty common. Not sure why though! lol!

I have always had that problem with supercharged cars, but not with the naturally aspirated ones. I used to worry about it myself, but there just isn't a solution that anyone I know of has come up with.

    Common problem for sure.

The only way to fix that is to give it just a hair more fuel at warm start in the tune. When it's warm if you can get it to start with your foot all the way in it every time with one good 2-3 second crank then that's your problem.
As you can see here most guys live with it. I myself couldn't stand it with my 01 and my 02 so I dialed it out.

    Agreed!

This is something a tune will fix. My car had it as well, gave it back to the tuner, and they added just a touch more fuel. During cold start it was the worst, which is opposite in your case, but the problem is the same.
