Now that i compare Bassani mufflers....the design is similar just the gibson has an X instead of straight paths....

Flowmaster is "junk" that isnt even stainless steel....

But you'll be hard pressed to find another system that sounds as good as some original 40series flows do on a 5.0 with long tubes. Regardless of how popular they are and how bad they drone, the things are not quality mufflers, but they sound good from the outside.

I don't understand the comment on flowmasters. I have never never never had a set go bad or rust out on me. The one off my z28 was bought in 1996 and came off because of an improper cat converter weld by a local shop->dragging the whole system down the hwy at 75mph. The muffler was tough and I kept it on the car until I sold it. I sold the muffler to a friend who put it on his chevy truck and left it on until one year ago only because he wanted a different sound! That is 11 years.

I since then have bought delta flow and they were also ROCK SOLID. I have had flows on other cars too and never once had an issue and quality was excellent.

My personal opinion of flow's isnt that they dont last....but read reviews on them. The general consensus of them is they arent a quality muffler and they dont perform well (although unless you are in a turbo/super charged car....the muffler doesnt matter n/a IMO).....go do some searches for flows....people will rag on them for being bad. My only point was that i dont care if a muffler is going to fall apart or doesnt flow the best, if it sounds great thats all i care about. Cause even flow's which people say are bad quality have been great for me.

Actually its less than 7rwhp even....

The quality of air can change those numbers more than a simple muffler swap on N/A cars. Now turbo cars.....completely different story.
