I didnt think many people have seen it properly painted on our cars, no need to be rude :Zip2: The car just got out of the body shop so its being put together
I still need pictures of the non flush mount bulge below the sidemarker to judge for certain... As mentioned in great detail in this post. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?p=5464214&posted=1#post5464214
wonder if they had as much trouble fitting it as this guy: http://selectstangs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1246&sid=0e72d7c357a01e419647bd77d6588c45
Bulge HOLY TWINKY SIZED BULGE BATMAN! Unlike the real deal... Even the original was flush. Whoever let that slip through R&D needs to take a hard look at the twinky sized difference between the fender, and the StayPuft Marshmallow Bumper...
Umm .... the bumper isn't even bolted down in that pic .... so yeah, naturally it's gonna bulge out. He just had it painted & is putting the other stuff together tomorrow ..... supposedly.
Yea those pics of the red stang with the white bumper are the before pics of this blue car, he had to play with the mounting brackets on the side to get it to fit more flush, if they can't get the fittment issues on this bumper straightened out no one will buy it
That's what everyone is saying, the thing doesn't fit flush, unless you modify it, which you shouldn't have to do. They designed it to not fit flush on the existing brackets, which is pointless. Glad to hear that you got them to fit correctly.
my 94-98 cobra bumper didn't fight w/out modifying the factory brackets--all i had to do was cut about 1/4" off and it fit perfectly. the point is you can't expect a complete, 100% perfect fit.
I can't wait to see how it turns out once it's all said and done, with the sides adjusted/corrected and everything put together. Get soem well-lit pics at any camera angle but a close-up.
this guy lives about an hour and a half away from me. we're having a local mustang cruise to south padre island this sunday, so i'll probably get a chance to see it in person. i'll get some pics and let you guys know what it actually looks like.
I'm gonna say this as nicely as I can... ...With the exception of the black widow, that is the ugliest bumper I have ever seen mounted on our cars.
I think it looks great if you look @ it dead on and don't look @ the sides. Any other angle it doesn't fare too well
I think... I think the sides killed it. I don't know why they had so much trouble getting it to fit properly... and that guy who tried himself poor guy man! that would suck! at least he was determined enough to get the job done, i would have ripped it off my car and thrown it on the street... All in all it's a nice looking bumper, but if it doesn't fit the way it's supposed to, then what's the point?
