If so, can I please see some pics? Also, what size are you running up front and are you on stock suspension? When I grew up muscle cars had big beefy tires. I want to go that direction but everyone tries to talk me out of it. I was actually looking at 255/45/20 for the fronts.

    295/45/20 rear tires

I am not running this size tire on the rear. I am running 275/45/20 on the rear.
I do not have any pictures to send but this size fits very good on the rear.

As for the 255/45/20 on the front I tried this size and the tire rub when turning left or right.
I went with 245/40/20 on the front and I have no problems.

Were the 255/45/20 rubbing on the front with stock suspension?

    255/45/20 tires

I have the 255/45/20 tires in my garage.

I got a good deal on these tires when I bought my 20" wheels.

I was very disappointed that these did not fit.

I had to buy the smaller tires, and I have been trying to sell these tires for about 3 months.

If you know anyone that may want to buy the 255/45/20 tires they have less then 1k miles on them from the person I bought them from.

I am selling these 2 tires for $150 plus shipping.

Have you thought of 18's? I run 265/50/18's up front and 295/45/18 on the rear, lowered with Eibach Pro Springs & D-Specs, with absolutely no rubbing. Just thought I'd throw this out there.

I'm running Nitto NT555 255/35/20s on the front and Nitto NT05 315/35/20s on the rear. Car is lowered with a mild drop, Steeda Sport Springs, and I don't get any rubbing in the front. It rubs in the rear when there are people in the back seat but I rarely ever have anyone in the back seat. I've never had it rub in the rear without people in the back. Here's a good picture of my car with Nitto NT555R 305/35/20s.

Nitto NT05 315/35/20s. No good pictures of these unfortunately.

    I hope this helps!

I am about to purchase 20's for my car as well and I want to have a bigger taller tire on the rear as well. The wheels currently have 255 35/20 on all four wheels. (20x8.5's) What size tire can I run to make the rear tires a little taller? when reading the size is it the first number that is the width and the 2nd number that is the sidewall hiegth?

ausmad said he's running 275/45/20 in the rear. Those would fit on your rims. I did get my 295/45/20 and 255/45/20 installed and they look great in my opinion!

It is a pretty tight fit in my garage and the Stang won't be on the roads until the snow is gone. I'll try to remember to come back to this thread and add some pics in a month or two.
