I am thinking about putting a kb supercharger on my car at the end of the summer and I was curious on how much it would be for the kit and install. I realize that I would need gauges and a tune also. So a round total number would be nice. Also I have not decided if I would go intercooled or not.

About 6K for the intercooled kit with gauges and another 1K for install and have the KB tune checked. The install is not very complicated it just takes time.

I shoulda got that instead of my dirt car. I probably have that much in dirt racing. Then again, if I had to do it over again I'd get a built shortblock to put a KB on so I can get the highest HP available from the 1.7

I have the 2.1 KB kit from MPH, and it was the best money I could have spent :). They install, tune, and dyno your car as part of the kit and Tim is definitely one of the best.

You can buy the kit directly from KB or they usually only sell to dealers that install. I bought my Intercooled kit and installed it myself. You can definitely use another pair of hands. I think mine took about 14 hours to install, not hard as was said just time consuming. You have to extend wires, at least I did. I didn't use my boost a pump just cause I installed a 255lph fuel pump. I'm lucky I still have the old return style fuel system so I didn't have to mess around with duel pumps and cobra tanks like the 99-04 guys. I love it. My only regret is they didn't have the 2.1 or the 2.6 when I bought mine. That will change soon.
