I want to put a AOD in my all stock 1968 Mustang convertible. Can I put this in and keep the stock auto shifter? Will I have to change the cross member? What else will have to be changed? Will stock flywheel work?

    Thank you

Yes you can keep the stock shifter but you will need special shifter linkage and you will need a new cross member. The flywheel will need to bolt onto the AOD's torque convertor bolt pattern. I had to replace mine.

You'll NEED the flywheel, no ifs ands or buts about it.

In addition to Huey's list you'll need a TV cable. The C series had a vacuum modulator, the AOD senses throttle position.
