How's it going fella's? With this thread I am doing two things that has probably been done before. lol First off, finding what guys with similar combo's run at the track... Secondly, getting your thoughts of what my times will be at the track on June 30th when I go for the second time... 94 cobra steeda shifter Smog delete (short belt) MSD cap and wires 76mm C & L MAS and intake 70mm T/B Mac longtubes Mac O/R H-pipe Slowmaster catback upper and lower C/A 3.55's Zex WET 75hp shot Drag radials 2 years ago when I got the car, except for a K&N it was stock, and b/c I didn't know anything about the car I shifted at like 5,800 or 6K. Which we all know is way above peak power range (hell I think the cobra quits making power around 5,200. Plus, I honestly had no idea how to drive it. DON'T LAUGH! My best time was a 14.8! I know the car was capable of more but with the combination of all these things and FACTORY STOCK 10 year old tires(the car only had 9K original miles at the time) it didn't do so hot. This time around I am hoping for a 13.6 N/A and a 12.9 on spray... Got to have goals right? Well what have you guys ran with similar mods? Lastly, if there are any of you want to go to the track June 30th with us, COME ALONG! We are going to U.S. 41 in Moroco, IN. around 5PM or so. Let me know guys! The more the better.
here is what i posted on another forum the other day. I will have some 11sec passes next wednesday. I found another bolt for my starter and my car is ready to go. this was my first time driving a nitrous car. I had my 18x9s up front and 17x10.5 bullitts in the rear with 26x11.5 et street mounted up. about 3500 or so race weight. my first pass, i didnt know what to expect, ran a rich 125shot and 6-8 degrees of timing, heres the break down: 1.69 7.88 @89.91 12.334 @112.09 second pass, same shot: 1.67 7.9 @87.26 12.330 @112.3 third pass we upped the jets. 1.67 7.78 @88.1 12.13 @114.69 with a little more timing and less weight it will go 11's on the 125, there is a lot left IMO.
