    Hi,

I am still struggling with my vacuum lines. :(

I have a question about the vacuum lines for the C4 tranny.

As far as I know, the C4 has a dual area diaphragm to be connected to two vacuum sources that come from the engine compartiment:

One of them is the Manifold Port which should be connected, of course, directly to the manifold vacuum source, right?

The other is called EGR port and that is my problem. I do not know exactly where this port is. Is it on the carburator?

Anyone could me give instructions on where to connect the EGR vacuum port of the tranny.

Thanks in advance for the inputs.

The only vacuum connection on my C4 is from the intake manifold to the modulator, no EGR to the tranny.

    Hi, Jeff.

    I found out!

Some C4 transmissions, as I said, has a dual diaphragm and two vacuum lineS (metal) go to the engine compartment.

One of them goes to the manifold, the other one, according to the 74 Ford Shop manual (just arrived)! comes from a "T" connection out of the Carburetor EGR Port (mine has a 5200 2V)

    Thanks!
