Well today i took a 2hour drive with my parents to test drive cars for them... my mom had a mitsu. outlander and loved it... it was a great car and never gave her problems... she was rear ended by a landrover and was taken to the hospital... she was ok... her car was totaled... an 2003 ls with only 35k on the clock... in great shape... Well we went to Bell mitsu. in north jersey to look at a car I found on line... turned out it was in the body shop... My mom had a check for $12,900 that she was given from the insurance company... We found a beautiful XLS outlander fully loaded 38k... white, sunroof, leather, infinity stereo... Price $14590 ... i listened to it run checked fluids and drove it... but kept hearing a whuring comming from the engine i suspected the idler pulley... we took another for a drive... a stripped down Ls priced at $13990... with 31k on it... sounded nicer but ugly tan interior and alignment was messed up... So we began talking prices... the guy came out with an offer of $15,990 out the door... i told my mom not to do it... she didnt want to finance.. this was financing 6500 and giving her back a check... So i told the salesman no... He went back and brought us to the head manager... he gave us a good deal at $13,800 out the door tax tags everything...they had me talk to a tech about the problem... and i was right about the pulley they are getting it fixxed this weekend... I was glad to help out... this Suv runs so nice i like it alot... my mom test drove rav 4's and crv's and didnt like them... the outlander is bassed on a lancer frame and engine... Here is the kicker... i got in the car to drive it home and turned on the radio... first station i found good music on cut to comercials... And a contest... i didnt really hear what 4 i know tickets to linkin park and paramore... so i call in.... i get threw still in the parking lot of the dealer ship... and im the wrong caller... im driving away and figure ill call again... I got threw and won... I WAS TOLD I WON A FULLY PAID TRIP TO CALI FOR 2 DAYS!!!!!! to see a bunch of my favorite bands... sweet! I'd be **** outta luck if I won something like that I don't do planes. Everybody always says you stand a better chance of crashing in a car and dying. I'm like yeah but if I crash a car I have a chance to live if a plane goes down your ****ed. That prolly don't help ya none haha Have fun
At least most of the time with a plane, its quick and you get a hell of a ride on the way down. Flying is fun. I liked doing it as a kid, still like doing it, so that's why I chose it for a career. Congrats on winning the contest man. I never win crap, and I've tried before.
Last night i took your advice... and i went out and bought a scratch off lottery ticket... for $2.... I actually won $2... then got a 10x Multi so i won $20... sweet deal
OH AND ANOTHER COOL THING!!!! my g/f's aunt was getting a car towed to the junk yard cause she wanted to get rid of it... i asked her y... she said she bought a new car... aparently this car only needs breaks a swaybar and a muffler... and she said maybe a shock... SO im getting a free car... 90 toyota corola i think... paint is bad... body has not 1 dent... 5 speed car with a new clutch less then 6 months old and a clean interior... i think ill fix it and flip it... does anyone know if the SC'd late 80's mr2's engine would fit in the corolla??? or a different fun swap http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t181441.html wait... i guess so... i might be able to make a fun little car LOL
