I had my car retuned after I rebuilt the top end because I put an E-cam in the motor and a smaller pulley on the blower. My car was tuned at a place called Pro-Tune in manhiem Pa. It made 368 rwhp a 5000 rpms and 421 rwtq at 4000 rpms. the AFR was between 12.1 and 10.5. The total timing was 19 deg. from 3500 on up. There was 10lbs of boost at 5000 rpms and about 12 at 5500 , but no matter what the tuner couldnt get it to make more power past 5000 rpms. I have a feeling that my Crane HI-6s ign. is the weak link now. The motor is still has the stock heads on so the only changes were the cam and more boost. Does any one have any other ideas as to why power stops building at 5000.
