Finally! Bought a 2006 Black GT Mustang Premium this week....Been out since I sold my Silver 90 GT stang several years ago....Here is a pic...

Couple of questions....Never had a black car before...What is the detailing routine for a black car (products, order of application, ecetera)....

It is simply unbelievable how good it looks

And it's got the chin spoiler installed already, too!

Blacks a lot of "fun" to keep looking good.

    Hope you're ready!

Clay bar every once in a while, 2 coats of NXT 2.0 paste wax, and Meguiars quick detailer in between waxings..

Don't wash it too much! I made this mistake and now my clear coat is crap. The first summer I had it I woudln't let the damn thing get dirty and I washed it too much. Ford's clearcoat doesn't stand up to it. Just make sure you wax it twice a summer max and clay bar it once every Six months of driving or so and you will be fine.

Black is no different than any other dark color, it shows everything. When your feeling lazy don't worry about it. When your cruising, keep a wipping rag with you, when you stop to show the car off, just give it a quick wipe down. Black is a great color, it looks fast sitting still. I wanted black, but the ball and chain wanted no part of it, so compramise was in order, got red fire matalic.
