DAMNIT after some spirited driving with a buddy who just picked up his first h/c/i coupe, comin up the highway on-ramp i notice my gas pedal feels a little wierd, instantly i start to panick and wonder if my throttle is stuck or something... no, still runs fine throttles not stuck... feel somethin rolling around at my feet, reach down and grab it- LOW AND BEHOLD its my gas pedal!.... broke the plastic pedal right off the gas pedal... wtf should these not be made to be stomped on? its a mustang for christ sakes. upon getting home i inspected the situation further to see if i could clip it back on--- no dice... plastic clips are snapped off. i was checking out my actual gas pedal assembly and it seems to be sagging a bit lower... i can actually grab it and pull it up about 2 inches, but when the cars running it doesnt affect it. did i bend my whole gas pedal assembly?? can someone help me out here, do i just need some billet pedals or do i need a whole new assembly? sorry for the long post, thanks for any replies. alekz
My car had a broken gas pedal when i got it, but i made the dealership buy me a new one and they got the whole assembly, its really not hard to change out. I drove around for about a month on just the metal rod and it didnt bother me to much, didnt drive as fast because my foot kept slipping off.
sweet man i thought i was the only moron in the world to do that jk. I just bought some bullit pedals to fix mine i doubt it broke anything just some badd luck and fatt foot.
When I got my Bullitt pedals they came with the gas pedal assembly already attached, I think i got them off Ebay. But it was an easy swap, just a bolt and the accelerator cable and you're good to go.
