My battery light use to come on after a WOT run but not every time. This was before a Pulley. Now after the pulley it is coming on more frequently. I don’t think it has any thing to do with the pulley since it did it before. Now it will stay on after start up and then go off. It will stay on after start up and I will turn off the car then restart it and its off. It does not come on all the time either. Some said something about the alternator wire touching the alternator will make the battery light come on. Anyone have any input???
In other cars, when the alternator light has "flickered" at idle, I've usually found a bad diode in the alternator. One bad diode will usually allow some charging, just not complete charging. Do you have a heavy sound system?? Sometimes these pull a lot of juice at idle and, with u/d pullies, you will not have enough current at idle to run everything. Just some thoughts. LOL
