My question(s) is how is the quality of the upper air tube? The lower elbow is fine on mine. But the upper tube is cast alum and chrome plated. I bought one from Summit racing and sent it back because the upper tube was pitted and the chrome had been over buffed. Also did you get a gasket that goes between the elblow and elbow? I didn't get one. The gasket that comes from factory won't work. Also did the two clamps after the MAS fit? The ones I got wouldn't go over the rubber coupling. Summit is having one shipped direct from BBK to me. They don't want to sent me antoher one out of their stock because all the other kits are the same. I thought that was cool on their part. Summit and I think maybe a bad batch got put out? If you bought one of these let me know what you think. Thanks
If you want your engine bay to look nice without adding any performance the BBK is a good piece...if you want to add performance ditch the BBK for something else...
BBK is sadly just for looks....parkland washington huh??? I'm from tacoma....parkland and 112th....2003 red cobra never seen it.
I'm not far from 112th. I'm down in the area of 138th and Pacific. Coming up on one year on owning the 03. I had a 97 black cobra before the 03. Yes! It's sad it is only for looks, but I do alot of car shows. Shiny things under the hood attracts peoples eye! Plus I mainly show 2 65 fastbacks. One is a 4spd black gt and the other is a deluxe Ivy green fastback with tri-power. Check out my gallery and let me know what you think? I really want to know if anyone else has one in there 03 and have they had the same problem? Of course I'm still waiting for the second one to show up.
Yup.... Most of BBK's inventory is like that! Looks nice, great price, and mediocre performance. A long time Mustang owner once told me to NEVER buy anything from BBK or MAC. U.M.
Their headers are quality pieces, as long as you don't mind taking one off when you have to drop the tranny...
