I just received my Brothers Performance catalog. Turns out that BBK has just released a new header and x-pipe combination. Brothers is selling the kit for 599.99 the headers have a ceramic coating like Jet-Hot, I think. Has anyone else seen this yet? http://www.bbkperformance.com/products/exhaust.shtml
even though it says 96-present, i would be skeptical. many companies are claiming items that fit 05+, but really dont. 04 and earlier parts dont work on this car. there is no specific mention of 05+ compatibility. most companies that really have parts for the 05+ make a special claim. this is one of those "ill believe it when i see it"
I believe the Headers are different on the 05+ mustangs. Being the new three valve engine, the exhaust ports are in a D shape. So the headers that are for a 04 and earlier would not fit. This is what JBA says about their headers for the 05: "These new headers take full advantage of the redesigned chassis and new engine. The trick "D" port aluminum heads on the 4.6L 3v can breathe easier through JBA's 1.625" mandrel-bent stainless steel primaries freeing up massive amounts of horsepower and torque."
They are for the 05+ models, it must be a miss-print. They had a write up about them in Muscle Mustangs a couple months back that I remember seeing.
