Does anyone know of some really good driving roads (curves, etc...) in Ohio. I'm planning on going to the Tail of The Dragon in Tennessee / North Carolina in the next few months and I wanted to do some suspension / brake testing before I make the journey.
How close are you to West Virginia? The best ones are out that way. Not sure which ones specifically, though.
I'm in central Ohio, but if I venture down to Hocking Hills area I can cross the border into WV. Any areas in particular?
I dont know how good of a driver you are and I'm not trying to be an ass but you might rethink taking the dragon in your car. But if you do more power to ya. The only thing I ask is dont be an ass pull over for us bikes cause we dont have many passing spots, and really your not going to go as fast as us. Another good road is the something skyway, I forget the name but when you get to the gas station just keep going and follow the signs. GOOD LUCK and BE SAFE last time we were there a guy got killed. We missed seeing it happen by about 5min by time we pulled around a corner there were people letting us know to slow down, and the lifesquad wasn't even there yet.
Not going down to set any world records or anything. I love driving, esp. roads like that, and I mostly want to go doen for the overall experience and to get away for an extended weekend. I've driven a lot of "exotic" cars over the years that have much more power, better suspension setup than I could ever dream of and with the weight of the engine over the drive wheels so I know it would be pointless to try to get too nuts in my car. My dad was a truck driver when I was growing up and we took a lot of road trips...he taught me a lot about paying attention to your surroundings and courtiousness to other drivers (he must have gotten cut off a couple too many times). Thanks for the heads up on the other road...
