I spoke to a car audio place about dynamat. They told me it was so expensive they could barely turn a profit so they dropped it. I asked them what was cheap, they recommended just buying house insulation or something and using a few layers of that. He said it was heavy though..

I was like :uzi: I dont want house insulation or whatever in my house.
    jerks

    So, I'm curious too.

Here is a website that has some material that is the very same as Dynomat Regular, but sells for about the 3rd of the price. :) I have used some of it before and had pretty good results. It is exactly the same as Dynomat, just doesn't have the name stamped on it. Do a search on the website for part number 9709T19. It is near the bottom of the search result and should be highlighted in yellow. Let me know if this helps.

I used FatMat, $100 for 100 sq feet on Ebay. Check the pics in my sig. It smelled for a day or two, but it was so worth it. Tons less rattles and exhaust drone.

The Rockford "Bread Slices" are highly regarded around here. They don't stink, they're reasonably priced and they need next to no heat to stick.
