Best way to remove body stripes?

    I want to remove the mustang stripe on the bottom of the body. Has anyone done this with good results? what is the best way to do it?

    Heat, heat and more heat. Mine were removed by the dealer because i told them to :)

    Get a hairdryer or something and they should peel right off.

    Ya, i should have been more specific. Dont like hold it in one spot, u can actually start to melt the body lol. just hold it there for a few seconds and start peeling, its kind of a feel thing.

    Someone on one of the other forums mentioned a product called Goo Gone. http://www.googone.com/
    I dont know much about this product but I am thinking about giving it a try. Im getting bored of the side stripe after a year of owning the car.

    Thanks for the replies. I figured heat would be the answer. I think the goo gone would be for getting the glue off after you get the decal off.

    correct! you can use just about any general purpose adhesive remover. i recommend 3M.

    I'd hold off until summertime / will make the job go quicker and easier

    I didnt use goo gone. Ended up using a hair dryer and the stripes came right off. Glad it was so easy cause I can screw the easiest of things up. Im challenged!!
