Black Pearl Coat?

Does anyone know if a black pearl coat would show up against a dark red paint? As you can see in my little picture my car needs to be painted. I’m not sure weather I want to do a dark gray with a white pearl or a dark red (tornado red to be exact, a 2004 VW paint). I would rather go with the dark red but the VW paint I would like to use it a little to light. I also really like the effect a pearl coat gives so I would like to use the pearl coat to darken the paint up. So that’s where I’m at. If anyone knows if the black pearl coat will look good and darken the paint please let me know.

Well, next time your driving down the road and you see a black Acura Intergra, look to see if you see anything red on it and see how it looks. I dont think dark red against Black would look bad. I have a black 2001 Mustang GT and I have some red letter inserts in the rear bumper. It looks pretty good.
