well depends what you needed for if you want to fill big holes you need what they call kitty hair or bondo with fiberglass strands, next down will be fiberglass jelly, has bondo with small tiny fiberglass material. then you use bondo the one that has nothing inside.I like to use the bondo with jelly resin it strong the bad thing is it gets hard but before it dries you can shape it with a tool that looks like a cheese grader. I used the bondo,(the pink stuff they sell at wall mart or auto parts, i used it as a last filler before putty to fill larger sand paper scratches its easier to sand. Their all from Bondo Brands.Well hope this helps.

i like rage, and rage gold... (the gold has a small ammount of zinc in it) the both sand really easily, if you catch them before the fully harden, and neither of them pinhole to much. the biggest thing to remember about any filler, is not to apply over 1/4 inch thick, and to have a properly prepaired surface so the filler has a good "tooth" to adhere to...

1/4"?!? i wouldent go over 1/8" thick, and if you have to keep it to a minimum..rage is very good along with topcoat lightweight body filler, the only bondo brand i buy is their professional(gold?) stuff and it doesn't compare to topcoat or rage..if you only need a quart or two why not spend the extra 5 bucks and be happier? bondo doesn't like to stick to paint either

You have to apply bondo to bare metal...I've use that stuff for years and haven't had a problem..
