We just did a auto to man tranny swap on my brother-in-laws 91 fox 4cyl and when the battery is hooked up the brake lights stay on. Any idea why this is?

Any info would be great.

if you swapped the pedal assembly, which i am sure you probably did.. i would guess the brake light switch on the new assembly is bad, try swapping your old switch on.

Yeah checked that still no change and when you turn the headlights on the parking lights up front dont come on

The only change was we swapped the auto for a 5 speed no wires pinched when the column went back in either

There are two pig tails hanging under the car where the auto was plugged in and i plugged the t-5 harness into one of them. back up lights work, car cranks, runs, shifts just the brake lights stay on when the batt. is hooked up:shrug:
