I am looking to do a 10pt in my new build and i was going to go with mild steel, but then everyone asked me why not chromoly and i was told by a few guys that the chromoly is a nice upgrade but the weight savings compared to extra money spent is not worth it. But for me the one in the car i am putting my safety over all other aspects. Its going to be a 10.0 true street car. Do i need a chromoly or is the mild steel going to be fine? What are the main reasons people choose one over the other?
Going in a 2000 mustang if it makes a difference.
