Calling all a/c gurus……. this is for a 95 Mustang GT i have a problem where my a/c is not working right now, its just blowing out hot air. About 3 weeks ago I bought one of the Freon cans with the pressure gauges, it reads that the pressure is good, actually it was a little on the high side, but not over the limit. I popped the hood, turned on the car and turned on the a/c, I can hear and see the a/c clutch start to spin for about 2 seconds, intermittently, about every 10 seconds. I unplugged a lot of things under the hood that have to do with the a/c, and checked for resistance and voltage, so if there is anything I should check specifically, just let me know. Has anyone had this situation or know how I can fix it. Thanks.
Moved to 94-95 Tech. Check the low pressure sensor on the accumulator. If your charge is sufficient and the AC still won't run, that's the most likely suspect. Unplug the harness and put some type of jumper on to see if the compressor runs and blows cold in the interior. If it does, the new sensor is somewhere around $20-30 depending on which parts store it comes from.
