I've been drifting all my life, it's called growing up at the end of a long, winding dirt road! Dukes of Hazzard FTW!

Good to see people are open to all kinds of car racing and competition...

    :D

I personally wouldn't mind drifting and trying it out some. Most Mustang owners go fast in a straight line for 8-15 seconds, and it gives a huge rush. Imagine being in front of thousands of people as you try and drive a car sideways in a controlled manner. The rush you would get from that, has to trump drag racing!

I agree, although its not built for pure grip I'd love to try drifting. I wouldnt do it in my stang because I know I'd mess the car up, but I'd love to build a nissan 240sx or something similar/cheap to try drifting some day. I think it would be a ton of fun, I love sliding the car around and I have to admit, it is quite difficult to hold long drifts so I have a lot of respect for pro drifters. I dont see what all you guys are criticizing it for... asking the purpose is like saying "What the hell is the purpose of a burnout... all you do is melt your tires and choke on the smoke..." ITS FUN, THATS THE PURPOSE.

Going Sideways in 3rd Gear up the Road in my Friends 440 Six Pack Super Bee was fun, and it was not that Gross Over Steering stuff!
