I bought a parts car the other day for the 5-speed and pedals for my V8 project.

Anyway I drove it home, it wasn't a long trip but the engine didn't have a drop of oil (knocked like a SOB), fuel filter had a huge hole, spark plug wires were rusted beyond anything I've seen. Radiator was tornup and the fan was seized. Once home I put some oil in there and the engine stopped knocking, changed spark plug wires and it ran smooth... hell even with the rusted wires it ran smoother than my ZX2  I managed to spin the wheels a little too lol

Now I am thinking about converting it to an auto and fix it up a little (very little) for cheap and use it as a daily driver when the ZX2 is sold.

I've heard it before... but I bought this car to put the pedals and whatnot into my project Mustang... I think the transmission will hold up until I get the cash for something better. It sucks to take apart this one in a way because I will need another daily driver soon.

    very tough engine...

except that it is EFI, and plagued with all the endless troubles of electronic engine control...

and, the pistons Ford put in the N/A version aren't too great. I shattered a piston after driving mine for 2 years :D

Thats okay, I'm thinking about putting it into my '93 stang and using that as a backup, A/C is always a nice thing too :)
