Car stalled, took 6 restarts, why?

I recently got an AODE to T5 swap done on my car.
I am still getting back into the grove of driving a 5 speed
so I occasionally stall first gear when trying to take off. Well,
when I do stall, half of the time it takes between 2 to 6 restarts of the car to get it to idle fine. What will happen is I will start it, RPM will go u to like 1200 then swing down to zero and die. If I start car and press gas and hold rpm up it will stay on but when I let go it will flutter once then die again. I have to do this 2-6 times before it will idle fine as normal.

Car has never ever done this before till I have stalled 1st gear (or reverse)
99% of the time I can start my car and it will idle fine at 600-700 rpm with no fluttering at all. Only does this when I stall it out. This is confusing, any ideas?

BTW, sometimes If I stall first gear, I can restart car and it will be fine.
It only does this sometimes.

My car does this, as I just did a h/c/i install with no tune. I think it's because I am running off the maf when I try to restart the motor. Until the time delay is satisfied, it will run off the maf, I believe anyway.

Have you cleaned the maf/iat lately???
