    Hello Crew,

I hope that today finds you all very well. I was thinking about putting some carbon fiber dash parts on my Saleen. Can any of you recomend some nice stuff deserving to be put on a Saleen... I sure don't want anything cheesy. I saw a 99 Saleen Cobra Vert that had some on it, and it looked just awesome. That was before I had gotten my Saleen so I did not think to ask about them...

    Thanx,

    Dale

Yes, it is... If I can remember, I think he said that the company that made them went out of business, so I didn't inquire any more. Plus, I did not want to put them on my 01 GT.

It was Tim's old company: paperflamesracing that most likely made the true carbon fiber pieces that you saw.....

That is a nice car. It is not a real Saleen, but about as close as you can get. I know the original owner and the 2nd owner. I think an attorney or banker out of TX purchased that car from what I recall.

s351rspeedster is right, those were products from PaperFlamesRacing. No longer in business, they made top notch products though...

The guy told me that the car came out of Cali., and he is an art dealer. He also told me that is was a real one...It has Recaro seats, and a sport bar... Real or not, it is sweet...

The car came out of Temecula, CA and is not real and was not sold as being real. The guy is not telling you the truth. The car has every real Saleen part you could get though. I would have purchased that car in a hearbeat if I had the cash and garage space (even though it is a clone)

If I see the guy again, I sure won’t embarrass him by telling him that I heard his saleen was a fake. I’ll just be cool about it… Any way, are you in SA. You seem to know a bit about the local cars around here…If so, do you ever go to Biffs on Friday nights??? If so, maybe we can meet up there and shoot the breeze, and have a suds:cheers:
