I was looking at the pictures of CDC's Shaker and it seems to me you can still use a CAI. Is this possible? Can I use *any* intake? I'm seeing stars! (Shaker+JLT+Tune) I take it the shaker is functional as in it takes in air? If so that you give me 2 points to intake air. And also if so, does the Shaker have it's own filter?

you can use any CAI with a little fabrication. the shaker does not have its own filter.

I'm no rocket scientist, but couldnt I be sucking bugs and leaves and whatnot into my engine? Is there at least a screen on the scoop? And with unfilltered air I could get all kinds of nasty particles. Is this a safe mod?

the shaker connects to the stock air box below the filter. it uses the stock filter. if you modified it to fit a CAI, then the CAI filter will be used. it is not a filterless system, but it does not come with its own filter.
