Does anyone know of a replacement center console? I really dislike the center console, especially with a manual transmission.

Whats wrong with the factory one? If your complaining about your elbow hitting the console when you shift get a Hurst, the stick is taller and the feel is great.

don't forget to remove the cup holder thingy so the cups sit lower on the back one.

Yeah I hate when my elbow hits the cover on the console. It seems like the console could sit a few inches lower. I would like to get the hurst shifter but its not in the budget right now.

How tall are you guys that hit your elbow when you shift? I am 6'1" and I never hit my elbow while shifting ? Maybe its the positioning of where you sit... not that you can really change that but i dunno its not a problem for me... Just cant shift with anything in the cup holder

    hitting my elbow

I've tried different seat positions, still find it annoying. Seems to me the console could have been designed where it would slope down from where the shifter is. I might just take the cover off the console. Pretty minor irritation, but if I can use it as justification to get a hurst shifter when I make my case to my wife it would be a good thing right?

This is in your head. You can adjust the seat, my GF has no problem, I'm 6'1, I have no problem with my tri axe or my stock shifter. Maybe you don't have the power seats? My seat can be lowered or raised a good 2-5 inches it seems.

My problem is, my knee hits the side of the dash by the radio and my foot tends to ride high on the clutch pedal.

This is in your head. You can hack off your knee cap and someone else can break your foot and ankle.

The only thing funny about your post is that car in your profile..

    Leave comedy to the comedians.

    Thanks

You must have inadvertently taken my well-intended advice as humor. If others find my comment humorous, I cannot control that.

As for the comment on my car, I have heard them all and since I am fully aware that it is ONLY a car and you ONLY exist in this reality, your comments are moot. You bring nothing new to the table; therefore, you will need to extend a larger effort to offend me V. :nice:
