What do you guys think of Cervini's side pipes? Sounds like a pretty sweet setup.. more expensive than a straight catback system, but a sweet look I think. Are there any real advantages or disadvantages performance-wise from side pipes?? http://www.cervinis.com/welcome.html "05-06 Mustang Side Exhaust w/ Skirts and Rear Valance part # 8012.......................$1,249 Cat-Back stainless steel 2.5" manderel-bent side exhaust system featuring stainless steel Magna Flow mufflers and polished cast-aluminum exhaust tips. The kit also includes side skirts and rear valance."
I had a set of Borla side pipes on my 2000 V6. It looked waaaay cool, even without the side skirts. The sound inside the car was awsome. As for performance, I'm told side pipes usuallt do not flow as good as pipes that flow along the normal path to the rear of the car. I noticed a change. I'd like to see the path and the Magnaflow muffler style used in this kit. And with a V8, I'll bet the muffler noise inside the car is pretty loud.
I like side pipes but the cost seems a bit high to me. I'm assuming you'll also have to do some painting. Are they hot enough to burn your legs getting in and out of the car?
that is one tight ride. On the other hand as an old white guy, I might not be nearly cool enough to pull it off. DAMN
