what is the easiest, simplist, and cheapest way to hit around 300 hp with a 2.3T from a merkur??? i figure exaust, boost valve, BOV, fuel pressure regulator?, better fuel pump (what should i go with?) intercooler, and what else would it take?

Lots of boost...and whatever else you need to run that safely.

The stock computer, vam, turbo, and injectors all max out right around there. What that means is you'll need to port the head/intakes/E6 exhaust mani, full 3" exhaust, cone filter, a GOOD intercooler, and run 23-24psi...which will require a bit of race gas mixed in with the pump gas. You'll also need to run about 50psi base fuel pressure to get the stock injectors to flow enough for 300rwhp.

coooooool. with just a boost controller, exaust, BOV, cone filter, intercooler, and better fuel pump, what kind of power would be achievable?
    thanks

Depends on the quality of alot of those items but most likely 220-240rwhp on pump gas...

Well you could build the motor up a little bit N/A but don't build it to the point where you can't use a turbo. You could use nitrous but you said no nitrous, water injection would help but it is sorta like nitrous but not as effective. I do not know if this artcle will help you but this got got 330HP out of his pony.
