Check engine light troubleshooting help

    The check engine light comes on after about 5 minutes of soild driving and goes away after everytime I cycle the car on and off. But 5 minutes later its back on. I have also realized that my gas mileage is worse then its ever been. I have checked all the basic stuff and found everything normal. Does any one have an idea of what this could be?

    That sounds a lot like an oxygen sensor issue. Have the trouble codes scanned, it should tell you exactly the issue.

    Run the codes. This is how. Usually easier for 2 people to do one to count and one to count.

    I agree. Sounds like the O2 sensor is on it's way out.
