    Hey all,

I found a single 3" exhaust sytem with a 3.5" race bullet muffler on it. The system is in nice shape and has a section that can be unbolted to bolt in a Cat or a Cut Out. He'll sell it for $150 shipped.

Is that a good deal? I don't know the brand or anything, and I've never really researched modding these 2.3Ls. But more and more people are telling me to consider keeping the 2.3L, eventually swapping for a 2.3L turbo, rather than go the 5.0+ route I'd originally planned.

I need a new exhaust system anyway, the stock one is gone to hell and has holes everywhere, and a huge one in the muffler. So I thought I might jump on this, if it's a decent price for a decent setup.

    Thanks, gents.

3 inches is too large on a naturally aspirated 2.3 engine. Most recommend a 2.25" exhaust or 2.5" at most. If you really plan on swapping in a 2.3 turbo, you could buy it and then have it later on, $150 is a good price if it's in good condition.
  3. Red_LX Doubt I could be of much help, unless you need por

Yeah you should buy it and keep it...even if you put it on your n/a 2.3L you'd have to cut it up and change it to make it bolt up to the manifold, so that wouldn't be the best idea.

id buy it and tuck it away....your N/A 2.3 motor needs the backpressure which that exhaust provides none....so it's ideal for turbo.
