yeah my bro has like 10 of them ( i think because he installed his amplifier behind the sidewall in his trunk, so he wanted extras, and he got all kinds, lol)

I replaced mine with a rubber well nut (marine stores have a big assortment) and a standard machine screw. Much easier to remove and replace, and no rattles.

I assume you mean the original "christmas tree" fastener. You can buy an assortment online at:

    http://www.thecliplink.com/

Click on "Shield/trim/hood/bumper/panel retainers". The original was about 1 1/2 inches long and the hole is about 1/4" (you can check the hole size with a ruler bu removing the kick panel).

    Another source: http://www.northlandfasteners.com/

I used a 1/4" well (rubber) nut bought for 50 cents at a West Marine boat parts store; now I can use an ordinary machine screw to retain the kick panel. Much easier to remove later.

This description, on page 3 of the Cliplink site, looks like what I removed from my car. You should measure the diameter of the hole to be sure it's just over 1/4".

    9/32" (7.1mm) Hole Size
    Panel Range: .075" - 1.510"
    Universal Use
    Black Nylon
    Trim Panel Retainers
