I got an '05 GT, the type of car really doesnt matter much, but behind the rear wheels theres getting to be a build up of tar and such from the streets/tires...i was just wondering if any of you have any really good ways of getting this off that doesnt harm the paint/clearcoat.

I always use WD-40, works great, believe it or not, I also use it to prevent rubber from sticking @ the track, just a quick spray- count to ten and wipe off

My car is white and road gunk really shows up behind the rear tires. I got some "clearcoat safe" bug and tar remover and it works great. Softens the gunk up so you can wipe it off with a soft cloth and water. The stuff I use stresses to NOT let the product dry on the paint.
