I need a clutch cable for my 93 mustang 2.3L.......I was wandering if a 5.0 clutch cable is the same or not? I heard it wouldnt work cuz the ends are different an something about the load of the cable?

    clutch cable

since the clutch cables between the 5.0 an 2.3 dont interchange.....a cable like this would not work correct on my 2.3.........MM Clutch Cable, Universal Ford OEM, 1982-04.......... Maximum Motorsports :: The Leader In Mustang Performance Suspension .......... it wont let me post a direct link to it for some reason but its on the site, the part number is Part #: MMCL-11

They say it's "universal" but that doesn't mean it's a direct fit. If you read the description, it stated that "some modification may be needed" to fit.

In other words, it'll fit if you can figure out how to make it fit.

Everyone claims the Motorcraft cable is the only way to go. That may be true for the 5.0 guys and maybe the performance 2.3 guys, but I can honestly say that I've had no trouble with the Pioneer cables I got from Autozone. My main cable is over 3 years old (driven daily in stop and go traffic for 2 of those years) and I'm on my second dogbone in that same time period.

If the car is bone stock, go get the parts store replacement cable and be done with it.
