I noticed today that my clutch is slipping ( only 50,000 Miles on it , is that weird? ) I was wondering what clutches u guys recommend.. I was looking at the spec stage 2. What are your oppions?

I want a clutch thats gunna grab real good, and take occasional abuse at the track, and some abuse on the street.. along with the 100 shot.

there are a few people around that will tell you to stay away from the spec stage 2. some have had them explode. if you do a search you will find alot of threads on this subject. I have a centerforce DF clutch and love it. some also enjoy ram clutches.

I recently installed a Fidanza 2.1 clutch with an aluminum flywheel. So far it's been a great clutch. I'm also on the "SPEC is crap" bandwagon. I had horrible luck with their clutches.

granny double clutch pumper ftw. j/k. centerforce is a good clutch. spec stg 1 - 3 sucks the big one.

I'm looking for more input too. I have a 00 GT with a nos kit sitting in my basement so I'm looking at something that could handle a 125 shot. If I go with centerforce, am I going to want the centerforce II or the dual friction? Thanks for any info.

Call up Walt at Promotion Powertrain... Very good guy and he set me up with my McLeod unit..

He said the clutch/PP is good for ~550 - 600hp and I'm still able to slip the clutch enough that I can start moving without giving it any gas.. Pedal effort is a bit heavier than stock.

I have a spec stage II and works great, just don't use the POS junk TOB that comes with it. I have my shop install a Ford heavy duty one and its worked fine for me.
